This kit is very well done. The reins can be a bit difficult to fashion, but the saddle, bedrolls and and saddlebags are very authentic. The figure has good proportion with the horse and flag. I enjoy painting this version. The rider sits tall in the saddle and the horse is moving at a good pace. The horse and rider are primed, then painted with enamel colors and gloss coated with acrylic. The flag comes as a paper cutout with the kit. Depending upon the vibrancy of the colors in the flag, or guidon, I will either paint with enamel over the paper, or simply acrylic gloss coat the paper flag alone. The ripples in the flag are fashioned as the paint, or clear coat are partially dry. Having a number of these in line makes a nice display. The confederate uniform is done in marching order.
