Admiral David Glasgow Farragut as he may have looked for the famous storming of Mobile Bay, Alabama during the Civil War. He wears the full Admiral’s frock coat with gold braid and eppaulettes. The seaman carries plunger and water bucket at the ready to sponge out the hot barrel of the squat 32 pounder Carronade. The rig was designed for traverse and elevation on the cramped deck of a wooden, or ironclad naval ship.

Frontal view

Another splendid Imrie-Risley kit with excellent detail, right down the wooden deck and pivoting gun carriage. These figures are robust, and slightly larger than 54mm scale, but perfectly sculpted to this subject.
