James Ewell Brown Stuart, graduated West Point in 1854, resigned from the US army in 1861 and joined the Confederacy. He was known as a brilliant and flamboyant commander of cavalry operations for the Army of Northern Virginia. Stuart was fatally wounded in a battle outside Richmond in May 1864. Further descriptions of the battles can be found in the Civil War Trust newsletters and website.

The reverse view

Another super detailed Imrie-Risley kit with wonderful sculpting and proportion. I have overemphasized the flaming red hair and cavalier nature of JEB Stuart for his larger than life role in the Civil War. He was certainly courageous and charismatic.
